In claiming an education the main point is about Adrienne Rich telling the students of Douglass College to claim what they want in life. Mostly telling the women not just to claim but acted-upon as well. One of things I like that she said is taking responsibility toward yourselves. I felt like she was saying don’t blame others for your mistake and take responsibility for your own action. Another thing I like is this quote “Responsibility to yourself means refusing to let others do your thinking, talking, and naming for you…..”. The one thing I dislike is when she said ” Responsibility to yourself means that you don’t fall for shallow and easy solutions. I fill just because you look or take the easy way out doesn’t mean you’re not responsibility. However, some of the items I agreed with; but when she started talking about pre-digested books and ideas. I personally don’t think that has to do with anything.
