Women being Underpaid compared to Men

We discussed in class how women are being paid less than men for the same job. We talked about many reasons that could contribute to these statistics. One of the big reasons is over how each gender is raised. Women are raised to be happy with whatever we receive and just be grateful that we got it. Men are raised to negotiate. A man could be given a job and they put an amount of pay based on how much they think they are worth. They can say they are good at half of the requirements and that they will learn the rest so they are considered qualified. Women don’t see things that way, we underestimate our value. Women give credit to other things that allowed them to be successful.  In a study it showed that 25% of women bosses are being paid less than men.
