The Invisible War

The other day in class we watched The Invisible War, and the title alone says it all. These women are risking their lives for us are fighting a war within a war. Rape and sexual violence. These women who serve are doing what most of them take pride in doing fighting for our country, they didn’t sign up to be sexually raped and mentally destroyed. Almost eleven percent of women in the military are raped, not even including the women who are scared to report their incidents. A woman that tries to report a rape or sexual abuse in the military aren’t taken seriously and will more than likely lose their ranking or may even be sent home. They are fighting a fight for their dignity that they shouldn’t have to, these women should be protected, and respected by the men around them not violated and beat. These women need justice to be served for how badly they have been scarred mentally and some externally!
